Meet the Officers

Ryan Mitchell- President

I am a 6th grade science teacher at DeZavala Middle School. After earning an associate’s degree from Houston Community College, I completed a bachelor’s degree at Sam Houston State University, where I discovered my passion for teaching. I later earned a master’s of education in instructional systems design and technology with the goal of making school more engaging and fun for students.

I’m constantly advocating for both my fellow educators and my students, ensuring they have a meaningful role in their learning experience.

When I’m not in the classroom or advocating through Pasadena Educators Association/TSTA/NEA, I’m usually cycling, traveling, or enjoying the outdoors with friends. For me, it’s all about the experiences-whether it’s exploring new places or visiting national parks to collect a stamp in my passport.

If you’d like to connect, chat, or need support, feel free to reach out! I’m always up for a conversation.

Agustin Loredo III- Vice President

I am a teacher at South Houston High School, where I have served students for the last 22 years as a Mexican American Topics instructor and Head Soccer and Cross Country Coach .  Currently I also serve as the vice-president of the Fred Aguilar Promise Center, a community center in Baytown, Texas.

I am a product of Goose Creek CISD and earned an associates degree in communications from Lee College. I also earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, with a major in Radio and Television Broadcasting and a minor in Mexican American Studies.

Angela Garcia- Grievance Chair

I am a teacher of the deaf at Dobie High School.  This will be my twelfth year as a teacher.  I worked as a paraprofessional for 11 years before I became a teacher.

I have been a member of PEA since I started teaching. I have served as secretary and now as grievance chair.  I have had the opportunity to advocate for educators in Washington DC, Austin, and here locally in Pasadena.

Contact me if you have an individual issue you’d like the union to help you resolve.
